Church Fenton Bowling Club

Church Fenton is a small village between Leeds and York, near the brewing town of Tadcaster, and the town of Selby with its 11th century Abbey.

We play Flat Green Bowls to EBA Rules and our Club matches are played in the Selby Leagues, and the York Private Clubs League.

We have 2 teams who play in the Selby Midweek Fours and Triples Leagues, and a Ladies team who compete in the Ladies Tuesday Triples League.

The York Private Clubs League is a Mixed Triples League made up of 4 Section's, we compete in Section 2.

We like to think of ourselves as a friendly Club, and although we do not have a dress code for social play, we do have to wear grey's and whites for League matches.

Those Outdoor members who would like to play during the winter months can join the Short Mat Bowls section and play socially, or competitively in one of the League teams. Further information can be obtained from our sister website at.

Coronavirus (Covid-19)

At the Selby Bowling Association player registration meeting held on the 16th March, the Club representatives and the management committee took the unprecedented step of cancelling the Selby Fours League along with the Selby Competitions. A decision whether the Selby Triples League should be cancelled will be taken later as the situation progresses.

We have also been informed that the Selby Ladies Tuesday League has been cancelled for the coming season.

The York Private Clubs League have also cancelled this season's League program.
